What is Swiftair?
Swiftair has positioned itself as one of the well-known companies in the air transportation industry through the provision of freight and passenger transport services. This company offers support to various day and overnight networks of passenger airlines as well as integrators, as it also attracts clientele who are in need of flexible aircraft solutions (best size for the best routes). The owners of Swiftair claim that its current client base comprises of:
- Local and global integrators
- Government agencies
- International and national airlines.
This company has managed to put together a team of more than 600 employees who serve its major clients in their European / African network. It currently has more than 30 well-paying clients who contribute to the estimated €140 Million it earns annually.
Swiftair’s services are delivered to global clientele who are mainly served through the offices in Europe and Africa. In this sense, this company’s aircraft take trips to and fro:
- Spain
- The rest of Europe
- North & West Africa
- Morocco & Algiers – handled by its 2nd airline that’s based in Greece.
Do they have a wide variety of aircraft?
As of now, Swiftair has its fleet of 47 aircraft which are of varying sizes and payloads. By this industry’s standards, this is quite small, but it may be sufficient to fulfill all flights in the routes within which it operates. Depending on the type of trip you’re taking, you can charter any of the following aircraft:
- Boeing 373 (300 F or 400F)
- ATR 42 300F series
- ATR 72 200F/LCD/500F
- Embraer 120F
- Subway III
- Boeing 757 200 F
Seeing that this company has very specific routes and regular flights ( detailed in their flight chart on the official website), one can tell that the above-stated aircraft can sufficiently deliver services to customers who need air travel services to and from Europe and Africa.
Do they have a wide variety of pricing options for different budgets?
Swiftair has a number of ways through which it delivers its air transportation services, which may altogether present different pricing options depending on the option you choose. The main approaches include:
- Scheduled operations – in most cases, flights taken to favorite destinations have standard pricing for all customers who board the aircraft.
- Wet lease with a complete crew – charges may vary
- Damp lease with pilot only – charges may vary
- Full charter (customized flight) – charges may vary, based on what you decide to include in your package, i.e. preferred schedule, catering, number of attendants, etc.
To answer your question, this company does not have a wide variety of pricing options, but it has a variety of approaches that it can utilize to deliver services to a customer who wants to travel to a given destination.
Of course, if you’re trying to save on trip charges, you’ll take up the scheduled charter option in which all customers on the aircraft pay for their seats. If you’re trying to maximize privacy, then you can pick the wet lease, damp lease, or full charter options, for which you’ll have to part with a significantly larger amount of money.
Does Swiftair offer Flight sharing services?
No. As confusing as this may sound, there is a huge difference between scheduled flight services (often confused for flight-sharing services) and flight-sharing services. Even if we were to stop at the level of the quality of services expected for each type of service, then you’d see how big the difference between the two types of services actually is. Air transportation companies that offer flight-sharing services are actually very discrete about it. They are very welcoming to customers who’d like to share several seats in the private aircraft they intend to charter, in a bid to offset the high costs of the flight. With scheduled flight services, you don’t have the option of controlling who else you get to fly with on the aircraft unless you decide to charter the entire aircraft, which may cost you quite an amount of money.
Does Swiftair accept Bitcoin Payments?
Currently, there’s no evidence that this company accepts Bitcoin payments. Those who’d like to pay for their trips using cryptocurrencies can, as such, look for other alternatives. The thing about Bitcoin payments is that they offer a couple of advantages that are hard to find with other modes of payment. Customers who pay using Bitcoin can enjoy anonymity, low transaction fees, very quick transactions, as well as zero taxes.
Using crypto alternatives can as such come in handy for passengers who are out to have safer trips (from cyber criminals) and to cut on travel costs (for frequent fliers).
Membership options?
No. This company doesn’t have any membership options currently. This is a feature that other companies in this industry offer to their customers to help them save on costs by giving them discounts when they pay for an annual package that’s based on a certain number of hours or distance to be covered. If you’re a frequent flier, this is one feature that you should definitely consider when choosing the company whose services you’ll utilize in the future.
The quality of the support?
You can contact the support staff at Swiftair through several channels, including:
- Telephone
- Fax
As always, I usually recommend that you use the telephone option so that you can get served as fast as possible. Not many people rely on the fax option nowadays, but the email option is one that you can turn to in situations that you don’t want to make a call. We shall verify if customers have been getting quality support in the customer reviews section.
In what countries are their service available?
Swiftair mainly targets customers who are in Europe and Africa. To be precise, here are the countries in which its services are available:
- West Africa
- North Africa
- Spain
- Canary Islands
- Balearic Islands
- Madeira Islands
- Cyprus
Fortunately enough, this company has its doors open to any customer who would like to charter a customized flight to any country. Provided you can meet the costs of the trip, you can access the right aircraft to facilitate your safe travel to your destination.
Swiftair Reviews (What their customers say)
With customer reviews and feedback given on legit customer trust sites, we can pick up a few pointers about the nature of services delivered by the company we’re interested in. We’ve already established in many other reviews here on GoldRetired that knowing about a company’s services is not enough, more so in the air transportation industry- you have to go the extra mile of checking out what customers are saying about that company, to find out if there are inconsistencies in the delivery of services. I checked through the internet for Swiftair customer reviews and only came across the ratings given on Flight-Report.
Rating: (3.5 / 5) click here for details (opens in new window)
According to Flight-Report, frequent travelers usually give Swifair a rating of (6.5/10). The main strengths highlighted are that Swiftair has a reliable cabin crew that ensures that all customers are well entertained. Unfortunately, it seems like most customers are also not happy with inflight meals and entertainment, and WiFi, with some of them claiming that Swiftair does not match up to the competing carriers. I don’t know what these strengths and weaknesses would mean to you, but I believe you’d want to receive the best value for the money that you pay for your flight. Overall, the quality of support here is great, but it can end up being compromised by a not-so-delicious meal or the lack of some essentials meant to make you comfortable during your trip.

Final words and verdict
Verdict: Legit!
Overall rating: (3.5 / 5)
Swiftair is definitely not at the very top of the industry, neither is it at the bottom ( all factors considered). It has some upsides and downsides that you may want to seriously consider before contacting them to book your flight. Also, unless you want to pay for a customized flight, you cannot travel to most of the global destinations, as you have to pick one of the routes in their flight schedule chart. If Swiftair doesn’t meet your desired requirements, you can check out this alternative.
