City Jet is the leading airline in Europe. With its headquarters based in Dublin, Ireland, City Jet operates a fleet of aircraft across the continent. City Jet was established in 1933 by Pat Byme, an entrepreneur. In 1996, a partnership was formed between City Jet and Air France before the latter took full control over City Jet in 2000. Since then, City Jet has seen significant growth in its operation network. Under this new ownership, City Jet aims at providing the best services and prides itself in having the most qualified personnel to achieve this feat. City Jet also takes pride in playing part in expanding and developing Europe’s aviation. The airline initially offered scheduled passenger services but this changed in 2017. It now deals with wet-leasing aircraft and charter flights only.
How does it work?
Booking
There are three types of booking classes offered by City Jet. These are CityValue, CityFlex, and CityPremium. Any bookings made by City Jet a passenger is made available at Goibibo.com
Checking in
Passengers may check-in online or at the airport. Checking online should be done at least 48 hours before the scheduled flight. This can be done via their website. Checking in at the airport should be between 15 minutes to 48 hours before the scheduled flight, depending on your destination. To add to, there is a self-service kiosk located in London City Airport as well as Amsterdam Airport where passengers can alternatively check-in faster. The online check-in process involves the following steps:

2. Checked Baggage
The allowance for this on all City Jet flights is a 20kg bag. This applies to all passengers except infants, who have an allowance of one 10kg bag. In addition to this, infants have an allowance of one pushchair.

- Free catering services- Refreshments and snacks are served for free to all passengers during the flight, regardless of their class, according to their requests. This also includes drinks such as wine and cocktails.
- City Jet aircraft have a carrier that makes it possible to use and work on electronic devices onboard (in flight mode). There is also an on-board magazine called Velocity placed neatly at the back of each seat which passengers can read throughout the flight.
- Empty leg flights: These are private charter flights that lack passengers on their return journeys between one airport and another. Different circumstances can cause empty legs flight, for instance when the aircraft returns from the manufacturer after servicing. Ratings by customers about City Jet are also high and positive, proving that City Jet delivers the quality services it claims to offer. Therefore, if it’s a question concerning genuineness, there’s little to doubt about City Jet. Of concern, however, is its failure to regularly update its official website. As much as this might seem like a minor error, it might cause grave inconveniences to some customers, especially where charges and fees are involved.
