What is First Choice Airways? | Is This Company Operational?

May 31, 2021 by Aver Leave a Comment

What is First Choice Airways? Can you rely on the services that its offers? Should it be your first choice as the name suggests, or should you simply avoid it? If you’re here to learn a thing or two about this company in the hope that the information obtained will help you decide whether to rely on it, then you’re in the right place. Read on to find out what its main features are!

Company: First Choice AirwaysWhat is First Choice Airways?

Website: https://www.firstchoice.co.uk/

Years in business: 21

Wide variety of aircraft: No

Overall rating: 3.8 out of 5 stars (3.8 / 5)

What is First Choice Airways?

First Choice Airways was a British Airline Charter whose main operations were based in Manchester. It was a subsidiary of the popular tour operator known as TUI travel. First Choice was merged with a company known as Thomsonfly back in 2008, to form TUI Airways, which is still operational.

This company was initially founded in 1987 and commenced its operations in the same year. It started delivering flight services with only 2 Boeing 757s, but it began increasing the number of aircraft right from 1988. By the time First Choice was being merged with Thompsonfly, it was capable of flying its customers to over 60 destinations globally from its 14 UK and Irish airports. This company was also popular for operating scheduled leisure flights to Cyprus, as well as Spain and Portugal.

Did they have a wide variety of aircraft?

As of May 2008, this company’s fleet comprised of Airbus and Boeing aircraft. This, in my view, is not what we’d term as a wide variety of aircraft. Good thing is that this company was an airline, which means there was no need to put together a fleet of varying types of aircraft (by size and flight range). At the time of the merger, here are the aircraft that this company had:

  • Airbus A320-200 – 5 aircraft
  • Airbus A321-200 – 3 aircraft
  • Boeing 757-200 – 14 aircraft
  • Boeing 767-300ER – 6 aircraft

In total, there were 28 aircraft, all with a capacity of more than 180 passengers.

Did they have a wide variety of pricing options for different budgets?

No. As an airline, you’d mainly expect fixed price rates for your flight. There are usually very few price variances when it comes to airline services, with most of the differences coming from some minor extras such as carrying heavier luggage. Generally, if you’ve traveled with any other airline, you have an idea of the pricing model you’d have expected with First Choice.

Did First Choice Airways offer Flight sharing services?

No. This company didn’t offer any flight-sharing services at the time it was operational. Flight sharing services usually involve one person chartering an entire aircraft, and then allowing other passengers to travel with him or her, so long as they can chip into the expenses of the flight by paying for their seat. Flight sharing services are a great money saver, more so when you’re on a budget and wouldn’t want to compromise on luxury.

Was First Choice Airways accepting Bitcoin Payments?

No. At the time it was merging its operations with Thomposonfly, Bitcoin was yet to begin use. This means that First Choice didn’t have the chance to make cryptos and acceptable payment methods. The resulting company, TUI Travel doesn’t also accept Bitcoin.

If you’re planning on taking a trip in the future (sooner or later), you can try out Bitcoin-accepting companies in this industry. Unknown to many, using cryptocurrencies offers customers anonymity, low transaction fees, zero taxes, and speedier transactions. Such are benefits you cannot afford to miss out on, more so in this age of complicated cybercrime attacks. Sparing a significant amount of money will also come in handy when you’re at your destination nation, where you can spend it on the things you like (or simply save or invest it).

P.S. See a full list of private jet companies that accept Bitcoin (and other cryptos) as payment on this page

Membership options?

This company didn’t have any membership program. In its capacity as an airline, this wouldn’t be very necessary, since membership programs work best for private air charter companies, which would want to build long-term relationships with their customers. With a well-structured flight-sharing program, customers end up getting massive discounts, but this only works when they are frequent travelers. If you weren’t a frequent traveler at the time First Choice Airways was operational, then you’d not have had any reason to worry about a membership program.

The quality of the support?support

There are no reviews to reveal the nature of this company’s support staff (In terms of receiving calls and responding to emails), so it’s hard to give a rating without concrete evidence. That said, as you choose the company that you’ll rely on for your next flight, do not forget to analyze the quality of their support, since this can be a make or break in terms of your overall flight experience. You need to know that you can reach out to the support staff and get prompt responses.

In what countries were their service available?

As we already saw, this company’s aircraft served customers heading out to more than 60 destinations worldwide. Customers flying to Austria, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Egypt, France Gambia, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Portugal, Switzerland, UK, USA, and many other nations could at the time utilize First Choice Airways’ services.

First Choice Reviews (What their customers said)

Reading through customer reviews gives you an idea of what to expect from a company. If the company’s service delivery model is consumer-centric, then the ratings and reviews will reveal that. Negative feedback will often reveal the extent to which a company is failing to listen to its customers and to attend to their needs. Did First Choice Airways have any positive customer reviews praising its services or were they all negative?

Rating: [N/A] click here for details (opens in new window)

The only significant reviews I came across were the ones on Trip Advisor, in which customers were discussing the seating arrangement in First Choice Airways’ aircraft. Overall, there were no complaints about the support staff being rude. There are, however, a few instances in which customers express their dissatisfaction with the nature of service delivery. Anyway, knowing a lot about what this company did or did not do may not be very helpful, so the best we can do is to focus on finding a company that will offer reliable services in the future.

PROs & CONs

What were First Choice Airways’ strengths and weaknesses? Let’s highlight some of the outstanding ones:

Pros

  • Aircraft traveled to many destinations globally
  • Support staff were reliable

Cons

  • Bitcoin payments weren’t accepted
  • Didn’t have flight-sharing services
  • No membership program

Final words and verdict

Verdict: Legit!

Overall rating: 3.8 out of 5 stars (3.8 / 5)

First Choice Airways was a legit company that made it possible for most of its customers to mainly travel to their favorite tourist destinations around the world. Since we know that it merged with Thomsonfly to form TUI Airways, one can only either rely on what TUI has to offer, or even look for a better alternative as they head out to the next destination. Check out the recommended alternative below:REcommended

What is Skyservice? Is It The Best FBO in North America?

May 30, 2021 by Aver Leave a Comment

What is Skyservice? Does it have the wealth of experience needed to facilitate your transport to your next destination? Are its price rates customer-friendly? We’re about to find out about all this and more in today’s review, so stick with me till the very end of the review.

Company: SkyserviceWhat is Skyservice?

Website: https://skyservice.com/

Years in business: 34

Wide variety of aircraft: Yes

Overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars (3.5 / 5)

P.S.

What is Skyservice about?

This company was founded back in 1986 with the sole objective of its owners being to provide reliable business aviation services. This company has an ongoing focus and massive investment in its safety management systems and services, in a bit to maintain its high ratings as the go-to firm with the best FBO services in the whole of North America.

According to its owners, this company presents its customers with world-class and worry-less travel experiences, in a bid to ensure that they become return customers. It offers these services from its facilities in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Calgary. Currently, you can benefit from Skyservice’s service offerings such as:

  • Aircraft Management
  • Aircraft Charter
  • Fixed Base Operations (FBO)
  • Aircraft Maintenance
  • Aircraft Sales and acquisition

For this review, we shall be focusing on its air charter services.

Do they have a wide variety of aircraft?

Yes. Skyservice has an impressive variety of aircraft that it relies on to ferry its passengers to their destinations. With the wide variety of aircraft owned by this company, you can pick the one that best meets your travel needs, depending on your budget and the number of people you want to travel with. This company’s fleet comprises aircraft in the following categories:

  • Turboprop – King Air 350i, King Air 350i-2, Pilatus PC-12NG
  • Light Jet – HondaJet HA420, Learjet 75-1, Learjet 75-2, Learjet 75-3, Learjet 75-4, Learjet 45XR.
  • Mid-sized Jets –Gulfstream G150, Citation Excel
  • Super-Mid Jets – Challenger 300-1, Challenger 300-2, Challenger 300-3, Gulfstream G200-1, Gulfstream G200-2, Challenger 350
  • Heavy Jets – Falcon 900, Falcon 900EX-1, Falcon 900EX-2, Falcon 900EX-3, Challenger 601, Challenger 604-1, Falcon 2000, Gulfstream G450
  • Ultra-long Range Jets – Global 5000-1, Global 5000-2, Global 5000-3, Global 6000-1, Global 6000-2, Global Express XRS.

Do they have a wide variety of pricing options for different budgets?

No. This company doesn’t reveal much about its pricing model. As a potential customer, you have to contact the support staff to get a price quote for any of your interested services. Whereas doing this will lead to you obtaining the necessary information, in the long run, companies in this industry provide pricing information readily, which you can turn to if you want to plan for your trip (financially).

Does Skyservice offer Flight sharing services?

This company only offers empty leg flights, which are in most cases usually involve several travelers sharing the same aircraft. Empty leg flights usually ferry passengers to the aircraft’s home base and charge them heavily discounted price rates. This is done to help the company minimize any losses that would arise from fulfilling one-way flights. On the way back, you can book an empty leg flight and pay significantly less than you’d pay if you were flying through the regular air charter services.

Does Skyservice accept Bitcoin Payments?

No. If you’re looking for a company that accepts Bitcoin Payments in this industry, then Skyservice is not your go-to company. With the lack of information about this company’s accepted payment methods, it’s hard to establish whether it accepts credit card and debit card payments, or there are other accepted methods of payment.

That said, I think it’d be good for you to consider paying for your trip using Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency for that matter. You stand to benefit from anonymity, low transaction fees, zero taxes, and speedy transactions if you choose to go the cryptocurrency payment way. You’ll be surprised by the amount of savings that you accumulate, simply for choosing to rely on Bitcoin payments.

P.S. See a full list of private jet companies that accept Bitcoin (and other cryptos) as payment on this page

Membership options?

No. There’s no information on Skyservice’s website about whether it offers membership programs or not. In most cases, however, this is a feature that private air charter companies usually have, in a bid to retain the frequent fliers. A membership program package will in most cases allow you to lock in the price rates per hour (or per mile), and also get the freedom to switch from one aircraft type to the next one without being charged for switching. Whereas this feature doesn’t offer any additional benefits to those who don’t travel frequently, it’s definitely one that you can rely on if you foresee a future in which you’ll be traveling a lot.

The quality of the support?support

When it comes to support, you can reach out to the support staff at Skyservice using the following methods:

  • Email – use the specific email address for this company’s locations
  • Mail- check the specific physical address for each location
  • Telephone
  • Contact form

Beyond that, you can contact the support staff via the messaging platforms on its social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

In what countries are their services available?

Being a private air charter company, Skyservice can facilitate the travel of its customers from its FBO locations in North America to different parts of the world. As far as I can tell, you can charter aircraft to any corner of the world, provided you have enough money to meet the costs. That said, some favorite destinations, as see on their website include:

  • Canada
  • United States
  • Bahamas
  • United Kingdom
  • Turks and Caicos Islands

Skyservice Reviews (What their customers say)

We can predict the nature of a company’s services by looking at the repetitive themes in the feedback given by customers in genuine customer trust sites. In most cases, how other customers have been treated by certain service providers, is the same manner in which you can expect to be treated. Of course, there are some outliers, but more often than not, most companies’ services are quite consistent. What have customers been saying about Skyservice?

Rating: [ usr 0] click here  for details (opens in new window)

Unfortunately, this company doesn’t have any reviews on trusted consumer trust sites, including Facebook, as you can see above. Maybe at the time you’re reading this review, there will be some Facebook reviews that you can use to gauge Skyservice’s reliability. I’m however surprised by the fact that this company, despite having been established in 1986, has not managed to establish enough social proof. I think this is something that they really need to work on to build trust with customers who rely on customer reviews. Some companies, despite being established in the recent past, have a lot of reviews on a variety of consumer trust sites, which is something that makes it easier for us to trust them.

**You might, for instance, want to look at the company I have given the highest rating on this page

PROs & CONs

Does Skyservice have any outstanding pros and cons that you shouldn’t forget about? Here are some of the main ones to consider as you decide whether you’ll book your next trip with Skyservice.

Pros

  • Wide variety of aircraft available
  • Several other aviation-related services are offered.
  • Empty legs flights

Cons

  • No customer reviews/no social proof of excellence
  • Bitcoin payments not accepted
  • No membership program

Do You Own or Represent Skyservice?

Final words and verdict

Verdict: Legit!

Overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars (3.5 / 5)

From the much information we’ve collected about this company, it’s not hard to tell that it’s genuine and legit. In my opinion, however, this company is average, in comparison to the industry leaders. If you look at the features offered by the high-ranking private air charter companies, then you’ll begin to see the outstanding differences. You can, for instance, check out my recommended alternative to Skyservice below:REcommended

What is Condor Airlines? Is It The Best German Airline?

May 29, 2021 by Aver Leave a Comment

What is Condor Airlines? How effectively is it delivering its services to those who need them? Is it a reliable company, or one that is yet to meet the rise to the occasion? Let’s explore all that and more in today’s review about Condor so that you can get a clear picture of what it’s striving to achieve.

Company: Condor What is Condor Airlines?

Website: https://www.condor.com/de

Years in business: 65

Wide variety of aircraft: No

Overall rating: 3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

P.S.

See my #1 recommended private jet company on this page

What is Condor Airlines?

Condor is a legally incorporated German charter airline whose operations are based in Frankfurt. This company operates scheduled flights to a couple of leisure destinations that are located in:

  • Africa
  • The Caribbean
  • Europe
  • South Asia
  • North America

Although its main base is in Frankfurt airport, Condor has smaller bases located in other German airports, including:

  • Berlin Brandenburg Airport
  • Dusseldorf Airport
  • Hamburg Airport
  • Leipzig/ Halle Airport
  • Munich Airport
  • Stuttgart Airport
  • Zurich Airport

This company was initially established as Deutsche Flugdienst GmbH, back in 1955. Its first fleet compressed of three 36-passenger aircraft. Fast forward to the present day, this company’s fleet has grown into a 49-aircraft fleet, which fulfills all of its customers’ air transportation needs.

Do they have a wide variety of aircraft?

No. If we are to go by the current industry standards of what it means to have a wide variety of aircraft, this company doesn’t quite fit the bill. Condor’s fleet comprises of Airbus and Boeing Aircraft, as explained below:

  • Airbus A320-200 – 13 aircraft
  • Airbus A321-200 – 10 aircraft
  • Boeing 757-300 – 13 aircraft
  • Boeing 767-300ER – 13 aircraft

Whereas these aircraft can collectively ferry such a large number of passengers at the same time, they cannot cater to the needs of customers who’re looking for smaller and lighter aircraft.

Do they have a wide variety of pricing options for different budgets?

No. Condor doesn’t have a wide variety of pricing options. What it has, however, is a booking system that allows you to specify various parameters and requirements. The price you end up paying may be unique to you, but may on some occasions be similar to that of other customers who’re also taking a scheduled flight. I am not very sure that whatever price you get charged will be suitable for your current budget, but you can always have a look at what the alternative companies have to offer.

Does Condor offer Flight sharing services?

There’s no evidence that this company offers flight-sharing services. Besides offering scheduled flights, Condor doesn’t allow you to charter an entire aircraft through cost-sharing with those you’d like to travel with. Through its scheduled flights, however, you can pay for individual seats, unlike air charter services where you mostly pay for an entire aircraft.

Does Condor accept Bitcoin Payments?

Bitcoin payments are gradually becoming popular in the air transportation industry, as more and more people seek to minimize the chances of their financial details falling in the wrong hands. As of now, Condor allows its customers to pay for their flight using any of the following credit and debit card options:

  • JCB
  • Discover
  • Drivers Club International
  • VISA
  • MasterCard
  • AMEX

Whereas these cards offer convenience, they’re nowhere near what Bitcoin and other cryptos offer. With low transaction fees, no taxes, and very speedy transactions, cryptos stand out from other payment methods, even in the air transportation industry.

N.B: You can also pay for your flight with Condor through a SEPA Bank transfer.

P.S. See a full list of private jet companies that accept Bitcoin (and other cryptos) as payment on this page

Membership options?

If you’re looking for a company that has a membership program such as jet card membership or a frequent flier program, then you’re not in luck because this company doesn’t offer any. A scheduled flight company will mainly deliver convenience by letting you book the exact number of seats you prefer, at any time of the year that you’d like to travel. With a membership program, however, you’re required to charter an entire aircraft for a particular number of hours, annually.

The quality of the support?support

If you’re stuck and need help with booking your flight or making a complaint, you can contact this company through:

  • Chat (on the official website)
  • Telephone
  • Contact form
  • Special assistance contact form.

This company also has social media accounts on the following platforms:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Instagram

You can pick the communication option that’s most suitable for you from the list above, though I’d recommend that you make a call so that you can receive speedy services.

In what countries are their service available?

This company is authorized to travel to a wide variety of destinations all over the world, but it has some favorite destinations to which it ferries a majority of its customers, including in Africa, the Caribbean, North America, South Asia, The Caribbean, and Europe.

  • Africa
  • The Caribbean
  • Europe
  • South Asia
  • North America

Condor Reviews (What their customers say)

By analyzing customer reviews and feedback, we can pick up some patterns about a company’s model of service delivery. With a good understanding of the nature of a firm’s services, we can proceed to make a more informed decision, since we’re aware of how far the company’s support staff can go to guarantee comfort for passengers as they travel. Let’s have a look at what the Condor reviews on Trip Advisor look like.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5) (out of  7931 customer reviews) click here  for details (opens in new window)

With this number of customer reviews, you can’t expect a fluke on the ratings and feedback presented. On Trip Advisor, customers seem to be pleased with Condor’s Cleanliness, Check-in and boarding process, as well as customer service. Condor, however, seems to be lacking as far as Inflight entertainment and onboard experience are concerned. With the leg room and seat comfort, and value for money, this company is consistent average ratings. If upon contacting the support staff, you find out that you can’t find any value for paying for the amount of money requested per trip, you can turn to any other alternative firm available in this industry.

**You might,  for instance, want to look at the company I have given the highest rating on this page instead

PROs & CONs

So far, so good! We’ve highlighted a couple of features about this company, and now we’re about to sum them up so that you can easily weigh in on your decision to utilize its services.

Pros

  • Excellent customer support service
  • Clean
  • Smooth check-in and boarding process
  • Large capacity aircraft (Airbus and Boeing)

Cons

  • It doesn’t accept Bitcoin payments
  • No membership programs
  • It doesn’t offer flight-sharing services
  • Inflight entertainment is poor

Do You Own or Represent Condor?

If you are a representative, or associate of Condor and have found something that isn’t accurate in today’s review please, feel free to reach out to me and I will update the information on this post. You can do this by leaving your feedback in the comments section below or simply by sending me an e-mail to contact@goldretired.com.

Final words and verdict

Verdict: Legit!

Overall rating: 3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

If we are to go by the ratings given, Condor is mostly an average airline that’s useful for those who’d like to travel to its top destinations in different countries all over the world. Those who find it reliable can book their next flight with them. If you’re, unfortunately, not very sure about traveling using an airline such as Condor, during this time when there are very strict travel regulations, you can opt for a private charter instead. Before you worry that the price will be too steep, check out this recommended alternative to Condor.

What is Sundair? Suitable For Travel To Holiday Destination?

May 28, 2021 by Aver Leave a Comment

What is Sundair? Are the services that it offers reliable? How good is their customer support? Are its price rates suitable for my budget? If you’ve been asking yourself these questions, then you’re in the right place because this review will present you with the answers. Read on to find out what Sundair has in store for you.

Company: SundairWhat is Sundair?

Website: https://www.sundair.com/

Years in business: 4

Wide variety of aircraft: No

Overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars (3.5 / 5)

P.S.

See my #1 recommended private jet company on this page

What is Sundair?

Sundair is a popular German charter airline that was founded in 2016. Its operations, however, begun on 1 July 2017. This company’s headquarters are in Stralsund, and has all its operations being managed from the following airports:

  • Berlin Brandenburg Airport
  • Bremen Airport
  • Dresden Airport
  • Kassel Airport

This company’s CEO, Marcos Rossello, has been overseeing its operations since its establishment and has managed to facilitate the acquisition of several aircraft that are used to ferry customers to specific destinations. More about this in the next section below.

Do they have a wide variety of aircraft?

So far, this company has a fleet of 7 aircraft, which are all large-capacity aircraft. This means that Sundair doesn’t have a wide variety of aircraft. Companies that have a wide variety of aircraft are those that have aircraft of different sizes and capacities, and that allows you to pick a suitable aircraft for the trip at hand. I would, however, understand that there’s no need for Sundair to have a wide variety of aircraft since it mainly operates as an airline charter. Unlike airline charters, private jet charter companies usually prefer to have a wide variety of aircraft, in a bid to meet their customers’ diverse needs e.g. those who’d like to travel with few family members versus those who’d like to travel with their many friends or business colleagues.

This airline charter company’s fleet comprises of:

  • Airbus A319-100 – 2 aircraft
  • Airbus A320-200 – 5 aircraft

Do they have a wide variety of pricing options for different budgets?

No. In most cases, airline charter companies have very fixed price rates, with very minor variances. Sundair, being an airline charter company, does not have a wide variety of pricing options meant to accommodate your budget. The good thing is that receiving the price quote for your trip can help you plan financially. There are several elements that will influence your overall fare, including:

  • Departure airport
  • Destination airport
  • Date of departure
  • Return date
  • The number of adults
  • Number of children
  • The number of infants

Does Sundair offer Flight sharing services?

No. You can’t access flight-sharing services with Sundair because it’s an airline charter company. With its large capacity Airbus aircraft, Sundair only focuses on ferrying more than 150 passengers at the same time, to a certain destination. This, however, doesn’t mean that it offers flight-sharing services. With flight-sharing services, customers can meet the cost of a private jet charter jointly, and then decide on the time of departure that favors everyone. Airline charter companies, on the other hand, have fixed schedules, hence no flexibility is offered to customers.

Does Sundair accept Bitcoin Payments?

This company isn’t accepting Bitcoin payments currently (May 2021). The only methods of payment that are allowed are debit and credit cards. Customers have to pay the full amount for the flight and must be in a position to prove that they’re the ones who booked the flight or are with the person who booked the flight. I think Bitcoin payments are worth considering, more so due to the benefits that they present to those who use them. They’re, for instance, guaranteed anonymity, low transaction fees, and zero taxes. Bitcoin transactions are also pretty fast, so you should not have any problems due to a delay during the transfer of funds. I’d to stick my foot in your throat to make you try out Bitcoin payments, but I think they’re worth considering.

P.S. See a full list of private jet companies that accept Bitcoin (and other cryptos) as payment on this page

Membership options?

Sundair doesn’t have a membership program. Customers cannot also purchase a jet card, which is usually quite beneficial for those who travel frequently. There are very huge savings for those who purchase jet cards because one can lock in price rates for an entire year. The only downside is that you have to pay beforehand, and that can cost you quite a significant amount of money. Frequent fliers who prefer joining membership programs do so to also save on the overall cumulative costs of the many flights. Those who fly few times annually do not need to join a membership program or purchase a jet card. Doing otherwise may only lead to unnecessary expenses.

The quality of the support?support

The main communication options allowed by Sundair are telephone calls and email. It’s advisable to make a call if the issue at hand demands immediate attention, else you can send them an email, and wait for a response to be given. Besides these two options, you can also reach out to customer support through the messaging platforms on Facebook and LinkedIn. They actually respond to some comments, so you can reach out to them under any post. We shall see in the customer reviews section of this company’s quality of support is to be trusted.

In what countries are their service available?

Sundair operates scheduled flights from Germany to several favorite holiday destinations in:

  • Bulgaria
  • Croatia
  • Egypt
  • Germany (local flights)
  • Greece
  • Lebanon
  • Spain
  • Turkey

Sundair Reviews (What their customers say)

Now that we’ve highlighted several features about Sundair, it’s time to now see what its customers are saying about the nature of its services. I came across a couple of legit reviews ( in my own opinion) on Trip Advisor, from which I was able to pick a couple of themes about the nature of its services. Here’s what I discovered.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars (3.5 / 5) (out of  146 customer reviews) click here for details (opens in new window)

From the feedback given by customers, Sundair’s strengths lie in Customer service and support, cleanliness, as well as check-in and boarding. On-board experience, inflight experience, and food and beverage are some of the things that this company needs to work on. Not very many customers have a problem with seat comfort and legroom. With the average rating of this company’s features being (3.5/5) stars, I think most of its services are just good enough to guarantee sufficient comfort as you travel to your destination. If you need better features, you may have to check out what its competitors have to offer.

**You might, for instance, want to look at the company I have given the highest rating on this page

PROs & CONs

We can now summarize the areas this company is performing well, as well as those it needs to do something about, in order to remain ahead of the competition.

Pros

  • Large aircraft with large capacity
  • Customer support is good
  • Cleanliness
  • Has impressive check-in and boarding services.

Final words and verdict

Verdict: Legit!

Overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars (3.5 / 5)

Sundair is not at the top of the list when it comes to ratings, but its services are still decent. Most people who’re looking for ways to save on flight costs can actually turn to Sundair. The services may not be as good as what you can expect with private charter companies, but one can make do with them. Alternatively, you can check out what private charter companies have to offer, and see if you can cost-share the flight expenses with your friends, family, or business colleagues. Have a look at my number one recommended option for air charter services, for instance, to see if you can fulfill your dream of flying in a private jet.REcommended

Join me in today’s review, in which I will take you through some of the main highlights of World Atlantic Airlines, to help you decide whether you’ll turn to it for the services that it offers, or you’ll turn to other alternatives. Read on to find out:

Company: World Atlantic AirlinesWhat is World Atlantic Airlines?

Website: https://www.flywaa.com/

Years in business: 18

Overall rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars (2.5 / 5)

What is World Atlantic Airlines?

World Atlantic Airlines was originally established as Caribbean Sun Airlines back in September 2002. The company was at this time headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In January 2003, it commenced its flights using Bombardier Dash 8-100 aircraft. Its main objective was to see to it the presence of its partner company, Caribbean Star Airlines increased across the world.

4 years later, Caribbean Sun Airlines announced that it would cease its operations (end of January 2007). Upon halting its operations, the company attempted to restart its operations, this time round under the name Merengue Airlines Dominicana. Unfortunately, the management team’s strategies and plans did not bear any fruits.

Later on, the company was sold to Mr. Tomas Romero. Mr. Romero, relying on his wealth of experience in the air transportation industry, embarked on a mission to rebrand the company, and bring up new strategies that would help it rise to the occasion. He named the company “World Atlantic Airlines” and started using the McDonnell Douglas MD-83 to fulfill its operations.

Several months of work went into resuscitating this company, and it eventually got an Airline Operating Certificate in August 2010. In September 2010, World Atlantic Airlines received 14 CFR Part 121 Supplemental Carrier Certification.

This newly founded company exists and thrives on the simple philosophy of delivering the best service to the customers while they’re with them. This is just a claim by the company, so we shall dig deeper to see if it’s keeping its end of the deal.

Do they have a wide variety of aircraft?

By the current industrial standards, I believe this company’s fleet is quite small. With 7 aircraft as of May 2021, World Atlantic Airlines lies way below other firms in this industry that have access to several thousands of aircraft. That said, World Atlantic’s aircraft have very large capacities, which would, to some extent make up for the limited variety of aircraft.

This company’s fleet mainly comprises McDonnell Douglas Aircraft (the MD-80 Series aircraft, widely recognized for being reliable). The MD-80 aircraft in this series are:

  • N802WA
  • N804WA
  • N805WA
  • N806WA
  • N808WA
  • N801WA
  • N807TR

Note that besides operating as an airline company with scheduled flights, World Atlantic Airlines also allows its customers to charter flights by booking the entire aircraft.

Do they have a wide variety of pricing options for different budgets?

No. Like a significant number of companies in this industry, WAA is mainly interested in delivering scheduled flight services. In most cases, such flights have standardized price rates, which can then get higher or lower depending on extra requirements. If you decide to charter any of their aircraft, however, you’ll not pay for the individual seats, but for the entire aircraft (everything that goes into ensuring that the aircraft takes you to your destination safely).

In both cases, World Atlantic Airlines requires that you request a quote for your trip, for them to determine what they’ll charge you. The price quote you receive may or not be suitable for your budget, hence you’ll have to decide whether to switch to a more affordable option.

Does World Atlantic Airlines offer Flight sharing services?

No. Flight sharing services mostly apply to those customers who intend to charter an entire aircraft. World Atlantic Airlines makes it clear that the price quote that it sends such customers does not reflect the cost of an individual seat, but for the entire aircraft. In this case, this company may only follow up with you to know the number of passengers that you intend to travel with (family members, sports team, officials, music band, etc.), and the inflight services they’ll need, to give you the best price quote offer. Unlike flight-sharing services with which you can resell individual seats to other passengers to offset the expenses of the flight, World Atlantic Airlines requires you as the customer booking the charter flight to meet the costs of the charter.

Does World Atlantic Airlines accept Bitcoin Payments?

No. This company isn’t amongst the companies that are yet to start accepting Bitcoin payments yet. Whereas a significant number of other companies in different industries have been very slow to consider Bitcoin payments, the air transportation industry has shown particular interest in the adoption of Bitcoin as a mode of payment. Generally, they’ve turned to Bitcoin due to the unique benefits that it offers in comparison to other modes of payment. When you pay for your trip using Bitcoin, you’ll enjoy lower transaction fees, can complete all transactions very fast, and beyond that, you can maintain anonymity. Before paying for your trip using your credit card, try using Bitcoin or other crypto alternatives to see how much you’ll be saving in form of transaction charges.

P.S. See a full list of private jet companies that do accept bitcoin payments on this page

Membership options?

No. World Atlantic Airlines is yet to come up with a defined membership plan. We’ve already seen from time and time again that membership programs help customers take advantage of custom flight packages in which they can lock in the hourly rates of their flights for 25 to 50 hours per year. Such packages are, however, only valuable to customers who travel frequently. If you don’t intend to travel for close to significantly less than 25 hours annually, then this feature should not worry you as much.

The quality of the support?support

If you’re trying to contact the support staff at World Atlantic Airlines, then you can rely on the below-listed communication options:

  • Telephone
  • Mail
  • Contact form

This company does not have very active social media platforms, so I’d not expect very fast responses through them. If anything, calling usually the best option when it comes to booking flights because you can ask all questions right away.

In what countries are their service available?

There’s no information about this company’s favorite destinations on its official website, but since it offers private charter services, I’d imagine that you can reach out to them to arrange for a flight to the most accessible airports in the world. This may, of course, be subject to the range of the aircraft.

World Atlantic Airlines Reviews (What their customers say)

A quick look at customer reviews can help you gauge the nature of services that you can expect from a service provider. Genuine feedback enables you to set the right expectations so that you do not make the effort to book a flight only to get shocked by the poor level of service. Let’s see how customers are responding to World Atlantic Airlines’ services by checking out its Facebook reviews:

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars (1 / 5) click here for details (opens in new window)

The Facebook reviews, unfortunately, paint the picture of a company that’s totally unreliable. Whereas the feedback given by one customer isn’t representative of what other customers have experienced, that one customer can be you ( and you’d love to be the only one who’s complaining in a crowd of people who’re okay with the services delivered). One of the customers who has given his feedback claims that the services delivered were the worst he had experienced in a span of 23 years. I don’t know what they did to this specific customer, but there’s, unfortunately, no evidence of a happy customer on other consumer trust sites.

  • Bitcoin payments are not accepted
  • Fleet is quite small
  • They have no flight-sharing program
  • Lacks a membership program

Final words and verdict

Verdict: Legit!

Overall rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars (2.5 / 5)

World Atlantic Airlines doesn’t cut it for a company that we can term as excellent and reliable.
