What is Capitol Air?
Capitol Air exists as an FAA Certified Air Charter Firm that’s licensed to operate in more than 30 popular Caribbean destinations. Its main operations are overseen from the United States Virgin Island of St Thomas. It claims to be in possession of well-maintained aircraft that can accommodate travel parties of 3 to 8 people, as they head out to the listed destinations.
This company offers its services 365 days a year and has trained its staff to deliver safe, reliable, confidential, and reliable services. Beyond that, Capitol Air has its doors wide open to customers who’d like to go for a one-way trip or round-trip, business trips, island hopping, flight transfers, etc. We shall see as we progress whether the customers who have trusted them with their flights have ended up satisfied or disappointed.
Do they have a wide variety of aircraft?
No. Capitol Air falls short of the current industrial standards when it comes to the variety of aircraft in its fleet. Currently, according to its website, this company has the following aircraft:
- Piper Chieftan Panther – 8 passengers
- Piper Aztec – 5 passengers.
Clearly, this fleet cannot handle the needs of a wide variety of customers who’d need to switch between one type of aircraft to another (based on the carrying capacity or flight range)
Do they have a wide variety of pricing options for different budgets?
No. This company does not highlight anything about its pricing model on its official website. It is hard to tell whether the travel charges will favor you or not. You have to submit a reservation form for you to get a price quote, which may or not be within your budgetary limits. I think it helps if a company can come clean with its rates and charges so that customers can have an easy time planning for their trip.
Overall, the following factors may influence the air charter charges:
- Destination
- Location of departure
- Date of departure
- The number of seats you intend to book (adults, children & infants).
Does Capitol Air offer Flight sharing services?
No. Capitol doesn’t have any information on its website that points to it offering flight-sharing services. Now, if you’re wondering why flight services are important, it is simply because this cost-sharing model enables you to charter an aircraft, and to meet the expenses of your flight jointly. Any of the seats that you do not intend to use after chartering an aircraft can be offered to your friends or family members, or even business partners, for them to meet their independent costs and travel along with you.
Does Capitol Air accept Bitcoin Payments?
It is not clear whether this company accepts Bitcoin payments, but there is no evidence that it does. That said, I’d recommend checking out any alternative that accepts Bitcoin payments, owing to the underlying benefits that are to be reaped. If you can manage to identify a preferred air charter company that accepts cryptocurrencies, you can benefit from zero tax, low transaction, anonymous and speedy transactions, which is quite something more so in this age of consistent cybercrime attacks.
P.S. See a full list of private jet companies that accept Bitcoin (and other cryptos) as payment on this page
Membership options?
Capitol Air doesn’t currently offer any membership program or jet card. While this may be viewed as a downside by frequent fliers, it does not matter that much if you rarely fly to any destination. Membership programs and jet cards offer impressive discounts to frequent fliers, often enabling them to access a wide variety of aircraft for a given number of hours per year (usually 25 to 50 hours). In most cases, the hours don’t expire so you can use them for the next year as well.
Membership programs and jet cards can, however, be quite expensive, hence you should only consider them when it’s absolutely necessary to do so.
The quality of the support?
Beyond having a physical mailing address, that you can send a letter to, Capital Air also has the following communication channels open for use by its customers:
- Telephone
- Social media messaging platforms – Facebook & Twitter.
We shall see later in the customer reviews section whether its support staff are quick to respond to customer requests on these platforms and channels.
In what countries are their service available?
Capitol Air’s operations are based in the USA, from where it enables its customers to fly to over 30 Caribbean destinations. You can always confirm with them whether they have any available aircraft to take you to your destination.
Capitol Air Reviews (What their customers say)
By analyzing customer reviews and feedback, we can begin to see consistent themes in the nature of a company’s service offerings. When all is said and done, you only want to take a flight in an aircraft that others have used and recommended to be worth flying in. You have to go beyond the marketing campaigns and all the impressive graphics to verify whether a given company has what it takes to get you to your destination safely. Let’s see what customers on Trip Advisor have to say about Capital Air.

With a 5-star rating on Trip Advisor, this company is definitely one that’s proving its worth to its customers. From most of the feedback given, it seems that Capitol Air is very professional and friendly to its customers. Those who have booked a flight with them have so far been treated well by the customer support staff and the pilots. Generally, those who have booked their flights with Capitol were okay with the type of aircraft it owns. Before booking your flight with this company, however, you can have a look at what other air charter companies have to offer, in terms of aircraft variety and pricing.

Final words and verdict
Verdict: Legit!
Overall rating: (4 / 5)
Capitol Air has, despite having a limited number and variety of aircraft, managed to meet its customers’ expectations. It, however, lacks a number of features that we have highlighted in the pros and cons section, that may be very essential to you as you consider your next flight. If Capitol has what you need, you can reach out to them, and book your next flight, else, you can proceed to check out the alternatives (such as my recommended alternative to Capitol Air).
