What is Condor Airlines?
Condor is a legally incorporated German charter airline whose operations are based in Frankfurt. This company operates scheduled flights to a couple of leisure destinations that are located in:
- Africa
- The Caribbean
- Europe
- South Asia
- North America
Although its main base is in Frankfurt airport, Condor has smaller bases located in other German airports, including:
- Berlin Brandenburg Airport
- Dusseldorf Airport
- Hamburg Airport
- Leipzig/ Halle Airport
- Munich Airport
- Stuttgart Airport
- Zurich Airport
This company was initially established as Deutsche Flugdienst GmbH, back in 1955. Its first fleet compressed of three 36-passenger aircraft. Fast forward to the present day, this company’s fleet has grown into a 49-aircraft fleet, which fulfills all of its customers’ air transportation needs.
Do they have a wide variety of aircraft?
No. If we are to go by the current industry standards of what it means to have a wide variety of aircraft, this company doesn’t quite fit the bill. Condor’s fleet comprises of Airbus and Boeing Aircraft, as explained below:
- Airbus A320-200 – 13 aircraft
- Airbus A321-200 – 10 aircraft
- Boeing 757-300 – 13 aircraft
- Boeing 767-300ER – 13 aircraft
Whereas these aircraft can collectively ferry such a large number of passengers at the same time, they cannot cater to the needs of customers who’re looking for smaller and lighter aircraft.
Do they have a wide variety of pricing options for different budgets?
No. Condor doesn’t have a wide variety of pricing options. What it has, however, is a booking system that allows you to specify various parameters and requirements. The price you end up paying may be unique to you, but may on some occasions be similar to that of other customers who’re also taking a scheduled flight. I am not very sure that whatever price you get charged will be suitable for your current budget, but you can always have a look at what the alternative companies have to offer.
Does Condor offer Flight sharing services?
There’s no evidence that this company offers flight-sharing services. Besides offering scheduled flights, Condor doesn’t allow you to charter an entire aircraft through cost-sharing with those you’d like to travel with. Through its scheduled flights, however, you can pay for individual seats, unlike air charter services where you mostly pay for an entire aircraft.
Does Condor accept Bitcoin Payments?
Bitcoin payments are gradually becoming popular in the air transportation industry, as more and more people seek to minimize the chances of their financial details falling in the wrong hands. As of now, Condor allows its customers to pay for their flight using any of the following credit and debit card options:
- JCB
- Discover
- Drivers Club International
- VISA
- MasterCard
- AMEX
Whereas these cards offer convenience, they’re nowhere near what Bitcoin and other cryptos offer. With low transaction fees, no taxes, and very speedy transactions, cryptos stand out from other payment methods, even in the air transportation industry.
N.B: You can also pay for your flight with Condor through a SEPA Bank transfer.
P.S. See a full list of private jet companies that accept Bitcoin (and other cryptos) as payment on this page
Membership options?
If you’re looking for a company that has a membership program such as jet card membership or a frequent flier program, then you’re not in luck because this company doesn’t offer any. A scheduled flight company will mainly deliver convenience by letting you book the exact number of seats you prefer, at any time of the year that you’d like to travel. With a membership program, however, you’re required to charter an entire aircraft for a particular number of hours, annually.
The quality of the support?
If you’re stuck and need help with booking your flight or making a complaint, you can contact this company through:
- Chat (on the official website)
- Telephone
- Contact form
- Special assistance contact form.
This company also has social media accounts on the following platforms:
You can pick the communication option that’s most suitable for you from the list above, though I’d recommend that you make a call so that you can receive speedy services.
In what countries are their service available?
This company is authorized to travel to a wide variety of destinations all over the world, but it has some favorite destinations to which it ferries a majority of its customers, including in Africa, the Caribbean, North America, South Asia, The Caribbean, and Europe.
- Africa
- The Caribbean
- Europe
- South Asia
- North America
Condor Reviews (What their customers say)
By analyzing customer reviews and feedback, we can pick up some patterns about a company’s model of service delivery. With a good understanding of the nature of a firm’s services, we can proceed to make a more informed decision, since we’re aware of how far the company’s support staff can go to guarantee comfort for passengers as they travel. Let’s have a look at what the Condor reviews on Trip Advisor look like.
Rating: (3 / 5) (out of 7931 customer reviews) click here for details (opens in new window)
With this number of customer reviews, you can’t expect a fluke on the ratings and feedback presented. On Trip Advisor, customers seem to be pleased with Condor’s Cleanliness, Check-in and boarding process, as well as customer service. Condor, however, seems to be lacking as far as Inflight entertainment and onboard experience are concerned. With the leg room and seat comfort, and value for money, this company is consistent average ratings. If upon contacting the support staff, you find out that you can’t find any value for paying for the amount of money requested per trip, you can turn to any other alternative firm available in this industry.
